Back in the Swing Monday

Well we are back in the swing of things..

The kids and I worked together on their Knowledge boxes and we got them all up to date and organized. Everything now officially has a spot and a place to got when it is finished!

Tay and Jo worked on Spelling, Math, and Handwriting and Cat and Kal did all that plus English. Their journal page for today was to write about or draw something they did this past weekend. Cat and Kal's English was telling weather a group of words was a complete sentence, a subject or a predicate. It took a little bit of encouragement but they finished and did a great job. We studied science today. Did you know that there are sun spots on the .. yeah.. you guessed it.. the SUN that are bigger than the Planet Earth! .. Also.. Solar Flares are so big that they jet our MILLIONS of miles into space and are bigger than the planets! ISNT GOD AMAZING! For science we also practiced rotating/orbiting and revolving at the same time. That was fun!

In their free time the kids played on the computer (starfall) and Jumpstart preschool. They also played with blocks (nate and Kam), Played Twister, and Sorry. I think the biggest hit for them was drawing on the patio with sidewalk chalk. They were a mess but had so much fun!

It was a great day today and I am happy to be back on track. Our plan for this week includes a trip to the fair (this would be in the morning so we can go the exhibits and to the petting zoo-I will definitely miss E and here kids on that trip!), the library, and hopefully if the weather holds out the park.

Looking forward to tomorrows HISTORY! (I love history!)

I think one of the best things about homeschooling is that kids get the PLAY and rest that they truly need!

We've been busting out the sidewalk chalk lately too :)
