Our Schedule :)

Some of you might be interested in our Daily Schedule.. esp if you are calling me and I am not answering.. heres why:

Wake up happy and begin your chores.. one of which includes eating breakfast :)

"Education Time" begins at 9:00 .. (please note we try and stick to this as close as possible.. but sometimes we are a few minutes behind.. and sometimes.. ahead of schedule)

9- Bible Reading, Singing, Memory Verses, and Prayer
930-Math bookwork begins
950 to 1010 Check and Correct Math work
1015-Math Drill work begins
10:45- Latin Begins (sing chants, start new chapter)
11:15- Break -boys (Cat does Latin bookwork)
11:30- Break-everyone (mom prepares lunch)
11:45 Lunch
12:30 Together Reading Time
1:00 Reading time (Joseph with Mom) Nate (on computer or silently) Cat (English)
1:20 Reading time (Nathan with Mom) Jo (on computer) Cat (Finish English-spelling-start quiet reading time)
1:50 short break
2:00 Memory time
2:15 History or Science
2:45 Writing or Art
3:15 Freetime
4:00 Chores
After chores are complete the kids have free time.. They, however, are not allowed to play video games or watch TV (sometimes we watch an "educational" show but this is NOT Boom or cartoons :) Those are saved for Friday afternoons and the weekends :)

I have used this schedule for two weeks so far.. a few times we have been off.. but for the most part it has worked really well. We cover things that are not listed in our schedule.. like during reading time we will read books from a variety of subjects the children also take turns reading all or parts of the books during this time. We also take some time a few days a week to incorporate a few educational video from the web. On Fridays we usually go to the Library or other "field trip" .. so we just do the schedule up until noon on Fridays.
I take time in breaks to do a load of laundry/clean kitchen and straighten up a bit.. but most heavy chores are saved until 4. :)

Thats all for today.. I am off to take the puppy for a jog :)
